Why does the Virtual Consultation matter?
It is how we get your fit right, down to the millimeter.
Your scan and comfort questionnaire give our team the information we need
to shape the fit around your structure, gait tendencies, and day-to-day use,
not a generic size chart. Before anything is crafted, our Concierge team
reviews your data to confirm it is clear, consistent, and aligned with how
you want the shoes to feel.
How is IAMBIC different from other shoes?
IAMBIC is built around

Instead of choosing a size and hoping it works, you capture each foot with your smartphone and
complete a comfort questionnaire, then we validate your measurements before craft begins.
Your pair is made to your data and finished with a final quality review in New York City.
Every step is designed to deliver long-day stability, alignment support, and a fit
that feels intentional from the first wear.
What happens after I submit my scan?
You will receive a confirmation, and our biomechanics-trained Concierge team will
review your scan and questionnaire.
If everything looks consistent, we clear your consultation and move your pair into
production. If we see anything that could affect fit, we will reach out with specific
guidance. Once cleared, your shoes are crafted, then return to New York City for a
final quality review before shipping to your doorstep.
How do you make sure my scan is accurate?
We check for sharpness, alignment, and consistency across your scan data, and we also
confirm the scan was captured under the right conditions.
For the most accurate results, take your scan in bright, even lighting so the paper
stays fully visible and shadow-free. Keep the entire paper in frame, and make sure
your toes and heel are not cut off. Our biomechanics-trained Concierge reviews the
scan quality and measurement outputs alongside your questionnaire responses.
What do you do with my scan and data?
We use it to design the fit of your pair.
Your scan data and questionnaire inputs inform the shape, internal volume, and key
fit decisions that affect stability and pressure distribution. Our biomechanics-trained
Concierge team uses it to confirm accuracy before your shoes enter production, and
to support you later if you ever need a refit under our Signature Fit Guarantee.

As a runner, as an athlete, just knowing that I'm doing a good service to my body is incredible. It’s the reason that I love my IAMBIC shoes. It's that precision that makes me feel safe to walk down the street, get on the subway, do my commute, bring my kids to school, and not feel concerned that I'm doing it in a shoe that doesn't fit right or that doesn't feel good.
The thing that I was surprised by the most with the precision fit is that any pressure points that I had been feeling with the shoes that I previously came in wearing were completely gone. I was wearing a shoe that wasn’t too tight. It wasn’t too loose. The sole fit just right. Total comfort. That’s the best way to put it.
I deal with chronic foot pain, and a lot of it comes from shoes that do not really fit. When I wear my IAMBICs, I notice less pain and they are incredibly comfortable. I do not worry about support, and I even get compliments on them when I am out, which feels great.
The most interesting thing about them being crafted just for me is how well they fit. And I had never even noticed that my shoes didn't fit right. My other shoes don't hurt me - they just slosh around. With these, the heels actually stay on the whole time and it fits snugly yet still comfortably. And I'd never experienced that before. They just stay comfortable all day.
